DAVIDsTEA EXPERIENCE

Growing up, tea was a staple with every meal.  We drank mostly black tea with lemon and sugar.  It wasn’t until my family moved to multicultural place like Canada that I got a chance to see many of the different teas differet cultures had to offer.  Fruity teas, Green tea, Ginger tea, even Bubble tea.  Which brings me to my new found love, DAVIDsTEA.  A few years ago, DAVIDsTEA shops started popping up all over Toronto.  They were always serving up different samples and I had to try every time I passed, each time learning a little about the unique combinations they had to offer.  I finally decided to go in and checkout how much this tea that I was starting to crave would set me back.

The first thing you will notice when you walk in is the bright rainbow-hue tea wall.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  The verieties of flavour conbinations are endless here, all starting with a base tea; black, green, white, mate, pu’erh, oolong, rooibos, or herbal loose tea leafs.

Then, specially selected ingredients can be added to preference such as dehydrated fruits, nuts, and different herbs and spices from every corner of the world. Topping this off, they also offer decaf.

Flavors are refreshed seasonally, so you can never get bored of the selection.

 

 

Everyone will have their personal favorites.  Here are  my top 5 picks.

1. Herbal Tea – Forever Nuts

Ingredients: Pieces of apple, almond, cinnamon, and beetroot.

2. Green Tea – Toasted Walnut

Ingredients:  Pieces of nut brittle, pineapple, coconut, walnut bits, almond flakes.

3. Rooibos – Crème Brulee

Ingredients: Green rooibos, safflowers, and calendula marigold.

4.    Herbal Tea – Mulberry Magic
Ingredients: Mulberry leaf, and macadamia nuts.

1. Herbal Tea – Dulce & Banana

Ingredients: Chamomile, lemongrass, rooibos, caramelized banana bits, coconut shreds, and lavender flowers
