Professional Ironman Triathlete Brendan Brazier shows how to make a nutritional energy bar from his book “Thrive Diet”:
1 cup of dates
1/4 of dried blueberries
1/2 fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tsp of lemon juice
1 tsp of lemon zest
Makes approximately 12 1-3/4 ounce bars.
You can use a food processor to mix or do it by hand to your desired texture.
Flatten with rolling pin to desired thickness.
Wrap each bar and store in freezer, they will not freeze solid and will always stay chewy.
Add wet ingredients or dry depending on how you like your bar.
